Ashoka: Innovators of the Public

In 2000, Neichute Doulo, while still a lecturer in Economics at the Baptist College, Kohima was awarded the fellowship for the Ashoka. Innovators for the Public in recognition of his unique contributions in “defusing the frustration of young people in Nagaland by building a new generation of socially responsible business entrepreneurs”. Ashoka also bought Neichute’s vision of propelling a movement to raise a multitude of socially conscious entrepreneurs that would take the turbulent society “forward as a part of their growth”. He believed that inculcating the spirit of Dignity of labour and empowering them to seek growth would lure them away from anti-social activities including drugs, alcohol etc. and be the answer for problems ailing his society.

 

Social Entrepreneur OF The Year-India Awards 2016

The SEOY Award is an award given to individual/individuals who apply practical, innovative and sustainable approaches to benefit society in general, with an emphasis on those who are marginalised and poor. Awardees are selected on criterion like innovation, sustainability, direct social impact, reach & scope, and replicability.

Taking into account almost two decades of hard work in promoting social entrepreneurship and peace building in north-eastern India, Mr. Neichute Doulo CEO and Co-ordinator of Entrepreneurs Associates was announced the winner of the ‘Social Entrepreneur Of The Year-India 2016’. The honour was bestowed by The Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship, a sister organization of the World Economic Forum, in partnership with the Jubilant Bhartia Foundation.

 

The Telegraph Northeast Excellence Award 2017

The Northeast Excellence Awards is a pioneering and unique initiative by The Telegraph, from the house of ABP group, India’s leading media conglomerate. It is a noteworthy award that acknowledges individuals from different sectors who have contributed towards growth and development across the eight Northeast States. The award is a means to honour the dedication and commitment of individuals who have creatively used vision, innovation, and originality to lead change. Mr. Neichute Doulo, CEO & Coordinator of Entrepreneurs Associates (EA), was one of the recipients of Northeast Excellence Award 2017 bestowed by The Telegraph. He was the only awardee from Nagaland selected for the award.
